How to prepare Japanese tea

 

Cold Sencha

Among leaf tea, a deep steamed type whose essence can be extracted with water is preferable.

 

The key-point of making delicious cold-Sencha is to select a deep-steamed tea leaf that can be brewed in a short time. Recently, tea bags for cold green tea have become available on the market, and these make preparing easy and convenient. The amount of tea leaves is larger than when brewing with hot water, and the leaching time is longer for the tea leaves to open.

 

STEP 1

Put the amount of tea leaves appropriate for the number of people into the teapot.

 

STEP 2

Pour the chilled water into the teapot and wait a few minutes for the tea leaves to open.

 

STEP 3

Put ice in a glass or bowl and pour tea.
