How to prepare Chinese tea

Tea tools to enjoy blue teas such as Oolong and Tie Guan Yin.

 

The Chinese "Kung Fu" tea set is a set of tea items for enjoying blue teas, such as oolong and Tie Guan Yin. It is one of the traditional ways of brewing tea in China, having spread from Fujian Province. Using a small teapot and a teacup, it brings out the unique aroma and taste of blue tea.

 

STEP 1

Prewarm the teapot and teacups with boiling hot water

 

STEP 2

Discard the hot water from the teapot to the tea board. Put tea leaves to 70% of the teapot, pour hot water from above into the teapot, slightly overflowing.

 

STEP 3

Discard the tea in order to help the tea leaves to open fully.

 

STEP 4

Pour hot water once again, put a lid on the teapot, pour the hot water in circular motion. Let simmer for 1 to 2 minutes.

 

STEP 5

Pour tea, to the final drop, from the teapot into the tea cooler.

 

STEP 6

Serve from the tea cooler into each teacup. You can pour hot water and reuse the same tea leaves 5 or 6 times.
